CNC Routing
CNC Routing is ideal for larger and thicker materials, and is generally used to make furniture, signage or panelling out of thick plywood, or for making mould negatives for anything from tiny plastic watch gears from high-fidelity tooling board to life-size fiberglass sculptures from polystyrene.
Please ensure that your CNC routing request is accompanied by sufficient information for us to know which side of the line to cut on (what to keep vs. what to discard), the material thickness you want, and the level finishing/smoothness you want from the cut.
Accepted File Formats: .dxf, .ai, .svg, .pdf, .obj, .stl, .jpg*, .png*
Compatible Materials: All standard materials
Maximum Material Thickness: 100 mm**
Maximum Cut Area: 1220×2440 mm
Additional info needed:
- Material specifications (you supply or we provide, thickness, type, etc.)
- Approximate size of cutting area (to guard against scale mis-match during file conversion)
- Level of finish/smoothing needed (primarily for 3D shapes)
**Thicker materials can be used, but the router bit may not be long enough to cut all of the way through them.
